FAQs

What should I wear to the wedding?

Our dress code is "outdoor cocktail." The majority of the celebrations will be outside on grass and crushed sandstone, so women will probably want to wear flats, wedges, or block heels. We'll head inside for dinner, but layers may also be helpful as it can get a bit colder at night. Ties are not required.

What is the shuttle schedule for the wedding (Friday)?

Shuttles leave from Hotel Petaluma and the Hampton Inn promptly at 1:30pm. There is only one wave of shuttles so please do not miss them! The venue is fairly remote so we highly prefer everyone take the shuttles as opposed to Uber/Lyft or driving yourself.

The wedding day starts a little early - should I eat beforehand?

There will be food and refreshments throughout the day, but we recommend eating a light lunch before grabbing the shuttle to Olympia's Valley.

What is the shuttle schedule for the wine tour (Saturday)?

Shuttles leave from Hotel Petaluma and the Hampton Inn promptly at 10am. These are the only shuttles so please do not miss them!

What's the schedule for the wine tour?

It's going to be great! We leave from the hotels at 10am with bagels and mimosas on board. Then, we'll head to Kunde Family Winery for a tasting with a vineyard tour and picnic lunch (sandwiches, salads, cookies). After Kunde, we'll make our way to Benziger Family Winery for another private tasting. Shuttles will drop off at the hotels around 4pm.

How do I pay for the wine tour?

We pre-paid for everyone who RSPV'ed for the wine tour, so you can venmo Alison (@alison-foster, phone number ending in 3479), or plan to pay us in cash/check day-of.

What COVID-19 guidelines are in place for the wedding weekend?

To ensure the health and safety of our family, friends, and vendors, we are requiring all guests to be fully vaccinated in order to attend any of our wedding weekend events. The majority of the wedding celebrations will take place outdoors, with dinner inside an open-air barn. The welcome party on Thursday is in a private room indoors (and all guests will be fully vaccinated), and the wine tour on Saturday will be outdoors. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions! You can keep up-to-date with Sonoma County health orders here: https://socoemergency.org/emergency/novel-coronavirus/health-orders/

Is Uber/Lyft available in Petaluma?

Uber/Lyft is available in downtown Petaluma, but it's a small town so wait times can vary. For the wedding day, we will have shuttles to/from the hotels and don't recommend relying on Uber or Lyft as the ceremony venue is in a fairly remote area.

Where are you registered?

Short answer: we're not. We know that attending a wedding isn't cheap - and ours is pretty far out of the way for most of you. We've also been living together for a while so, in lieu of gifts, we are instead asking for you to use those funds to enjoy the weekend with us!

Can I mail you a card?

Yes (and thank you)! You can send it to: Alison Foster and Scott Dvorak, 14A Havens St., San Francisco, CA 94133

Can I stay at an Airbnb?

Sure! We recommend looking near Hotel Petaluma so you can be close to the wedding party and downtown. If you do stay outside of the hotel blocks, please make sure to arrive on time for the shuttles and plan a safe way home at the end of the night, as there is no parking at the venue. Uber/Lyft are available from downtown Petaluma.

Can I bring my kids?

We politely request no children for the wedding day.
