Our Story

After too many embarrassing months using online dating apps (let's be real, it's 2016...this is how we meet now), I decided to give Tinder one last chance. A quick swipe right one day, and low and behold, it was a match with a young man mysteriously named, Scott Will.

After a chatty (and that's him being the chatty Cathy) first date over drinks, we knew something special was happening. As the winter months continued on, we continued to keep seeing each other, through thick and thin, stress and fun, and ups and downs.

This summer, after some not so discrete conversations about possibly getting married, the proposal came not on our recent vacation out west, but one very normal night at home. In between folding laundry, getting ready for the gym, and having one of our typical fake bickering conversations about planning for vacation and cleaning, I turned around to find him, ring in hand and saying ``Well you can't be stressed when I ask you to marry me.``

Swipe right. Drinks. Dates. Move in together. Spend way, way, way too much on an engagement ring. Happily ever after.
``As sure as night is dark and day is light - I keep you on my mind both day and night - And happiness I've known proves that it's right - Because you're mine, I walk the line``

The Ladies

It was only a few years ago that Kerstin and Alison met at one of the most thrilling and exciting employment opportunities of their lives. Actually, not so much - if you have a free minute at the wedding, be sure to ask for some exciting tales of this time in their lives, it just might make you laugh, especially if you ask for a description of honey bearin' it. But in actuality, after meeting and creating a bond that was forged over late nights and early mornings in the office, sharing in the agony, pain and excitement of running two marathons together, and the overall love of sarcasm and hockey, these two created a friendship that runs deeper than Maverick and Goose. And on her big day, there isn't anybody else that Alison could think of that she'd want standing next to her (other than Scott, of course).

Alison and Melissa met many moons ago as college students at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and shared a wonderful year living together as well. As they both say, they are the keepers of secrets of embarrassing stories and moments from college that each of them are hoping never gets brought up. But not that either of them ever did anything like that at all... And even though the years since then have separated Melissa and Alison by many miles, they have not let that stop their friendship and have remained a constant in each others lives. As their lives keep moving forward, Alison could not imagine not having Melissa a part of this milestone, and is completely honored to have her standing beside her.

Nicole and Alison had only recently met {and became almost immediate besties} when their menfolk introduced them {Nicole is married to Evan, Scott's Best Man}. Bonding over their love of girly things like makeup and Nicki Minaj, and a mutual understanding of the joy and difficulties of being with someone who has served our country {i.e. the ego that comes with a Marine}, these two cannot use enough exclamation marks or emojis to describe their friendship. On her wedding day, Alison is delighted and ecstatic to have Nicole right there beside her.
Also pictured with Nicole is her and Evan's super adorable daughter, Little Miss Oaklee Joann. Oaklee will more than likely win cutest wedding guest as she toddles her way down the aisle as Scott and Alison's flower girl.

The Boys

Buddies. Besties. Browives, as Alison lovingly refers to them as. Evan and Scott met one day when they exchanged glances on the first day of class after Evan mentioned he had served in the military, and then shared it was the Marine Corps when Scott asked which branch. "Did we just become best friends?" Yes. Yes they did. Sharing a love of all things Marine Corps, machining, beer and lifting weights {does it get any manlier?} they developed a true friendship that is uncommon and sometimes hard to come by these days. As part of one of the biggest day of his life, Scott could not imagine it without Evan there.

Nate Eiler, otherwise known as Nathan, Nato, Kid or Scooby, is the brother of Alison. While some people think that they have to win over a lady's father, with this family, it is Alison's brother that is the hard judge, and Scott had no easy task in front of him. But after a few mentions of guns, the TV show Archer, beers and a continual exchange of stupid memes, they secretly bonded and became Facebook official friends... but neither will admit that publicly. On this big day surrounded by family, this is one family member that both Alison and Scott are proud to have standing beside them.

Michael is Scott's brother and the youngest in the Edgar clan. {I think people that have a brother or sister don't realize how lucky they are. Sure, they fight a lot, but to know that there's always somebody there, somebody that's family. -- Trey Parker} While being away from home with the Marine Corps during Michael's high school years, Scott and and his brother have picked up where they left off; being their mom's joy and simultaneous pain in the butt. But hey, that's what siblings do best. Scott couldn't be happier that his brother will be standing by him on his big day.
